Yemen is currently embroiled in an all-out civil war that has caused the destruction of an already fragile infrastructure estimated at tens of billions of dollars, placing Yemen at a critical crossroads.
In response to the severity of the situation, the government of Yemen, is transcending its traditional constitutional responsibilities to assume the task of reconstruction, re-invigoration and activation of the development sector, and the normalization of political and social conditions whilst achieving security and stability. To achieve this, the government shall prepare a long-term strategic vision that aims to revive the national economy and improve the living standards of its citizens, through a development plan which aims to reconstruct what the war has destroyed by focusing on vital sectors including education, health, transportation infrastructure, electricity, water, and sewage; address the urgent humanitarian conditions faced by millions of citizens, youths, and students; and provide stability, sustainable economic growth, and a new foundation for state building.
