Legalization & Notarization:
Commercial Document
- ALL Documents must be authenticated by the Secretary of the U.S. state in which they were executed.
- Documents must also be authenticated by the Office of Authentications at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. For more information on this, please contact the Office of Authentications.

Power Of Attorney:
Commercial Documents:
- Document must be authenticated by the Secretary of the state in which it was executed.
- Document MUST be certified by the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce.
- The fee for legalizing commercial documents is $120.00 US Dollars.
- All payments should be made to the consular section – Yemen Embassy (Money order only).
- Along with your documents and proper payment, you must enclose a copy of the document a brief cover letter and a prepaid, self-addressed envelope .(Certified mail only))

Non-Commercial/Personal Documents:
- Please send a copy of your Yemeni ID or passport, as well as a valid copy of your U.S. ID or passport.
- All documents must be notarized by a Notary Public. However, Power of Attorney related to inheritance, financial transactions, the withdrawal or sale of assets, or any similar legal matters must also be authenticated by U.S. Department of State office prior to submission.
- The fee for legalizing non-commercial documents is $60.00 US Dollars.
- All payments should be made to the consular section – Yemen Embassy (Money order only).
- Along with your documents and proper payment, you MUST enclose a brief cover letter, phone number and sending destination, and a prepaid self-addressed envelope. (Certified mail only)
