PM highlights commitment to press freedom

SANA'A, Feb 21(Saba)- Prime Minister Abdul-Qader Ba-Jammal highlighted the Government's commitment to support press freedom as long as "the national tenets are respected".
In a meeting with the visiting German media delegation, Ba-Jammal also told the German media personnel that Yemen's three key challenges, population explosion, severe shortage of water and energy.
He said that the rough terrains of the country and the rapidly growing population are detrimental to the expansion of development.
Ba-Jammal told the delegation that the economic liberalization policy has been working for Yemen and that the economic and administrative reforms program has increased the foreign reserves and stabilized the exchange rate.
As for terrorism issue, the premier said Yemen has been cooperating with the international community against this scourge that has hit Yemen a number of times.
