The International Forum of Emerging Democracies.
Under the Patronage and support of the UN, USA, Britain, Japan and
Holland, Sana’a played host for The International Forum of Emerging
Democracies during 28-30 June 1999. Heads of states, politicians, and
economist representing around 30 countries from around the world took part
in the event
The Regional Workshop on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and
Rights to Development.
A few months after Emerging Democracies Forum Sana'a hosted a regional
symposium of Asian and Pacific countries during February 5-7 2000 under
the auspices of UNHCR.
