Al-Najar: Yemen's joining to WTO is first doorsill to GCC
SANA'A, Dec. 17 (Saba)- Yemen's joining to World Trade Organization would be the first doorsill to country's joining to Gulf Cooperation Council or GCC, said Chairman of Coordination and Communication Office with World Trade Organization Hamoud al-Najar.
Talking to Assiasiah newspaper, al-Najar added that Yemen and GCC countries are included in Arab Great Trade Zone; a matter obliges Yemen and GCC countries to be in wider framework.
He unearthed existence of new draft law for combating flooding to be issued soon "anti-flooding law has been prepared and the draft law is in its final stages. The Ministry of Industry is keen to issue it and you will hear about it soon."

Yemen, WB discuss fisheries strategy projects
SANA'A, Dec. 27 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank (WB) discussed here on Saturday the current arrangements for the fishery sector strategy.
Minister of Fisheries Wealth Mohammad Shamlan and acting director of the WB's office in Yemen Naji Abu Hatim held talks on restructuring the ministry, its offices and related authorities in the coastal governorates.
The meeting reviewed a number of the proposals of the ministry's activities and responsibilities, particularly in making policies and plans.
The two sides highlighted the practical steps and the terms of reference for setting up the national fishery sector strategy which is under implementation currently, pointing out that importance of obtaining an adequate financing to complete the strategy in time to be submitted then to the Cabinet for study.
